NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The Hyperlocal News Network, a complete and unique publishing solution that provides first-class operational and strategic online solutions, is announcing a new partnership with the Local Media Consortium, a strategic alliance of local media companies, to be its preferred content management system and back office service provider for publishers.
Michael Shapiro, Founder and CEO of the Hyperlocal News Network, said, “We are excited about this new partnership with the Local Media Consortium, one of the most prominent national leaders in local media and advertising. Through our partnership with the Local Media Consortium, our technology and support will now be available to publishers throughout the country that need digital solutions to meet the needs of their readership and advertisers.”
The Hyperlocal News Network, which launched in 2024, is a scalable and collaborative content management system that lets licensees in the system share content and advertising with one another, supporting local news and advertising. It also includes a Do It Yourself (DIY) content marketing platform that won First Place for Innovation from the Local Media Association in 2024. The Hyperlocal News Network technology was first developed and utilized by TAPinto, a network of nearly 100 franchised online local news publications primarily located in New Jersey. TAPinto is the sister company of Hyperlocal News Network.
The Hyperlocal News Network's back-office services, which include media liability insurance, customer relationship management (CRM), contracting software, graphic design, human resources services, and content services, among others, are designed for media companies looking to drive both audience and revenue through a robust operational and strategic online solution.
The nationally-recognized Local Media Consortium has developed partnerships with global companies such as Google, Monster and Stacker to help its members grow audiences, increase revenue and save money. Its members include some of the most innovative digital media companies in the marketplace, including TEGNA, Cox Media Group, Nexstar and many more.
“We’re thrilled to add Hyperlocal News Network to our roster of over 30 digital technology and service partners,” said Fran Wills, CEO of the Local Media Consortium. “This new service will provide online publishers with the technology and back-office support they need to advance their digital business and support the important local news and information they provide their communities.”
